Course Description

Join Chef Eliza Martin, Chopped Champion 2020, and Certified Sommelier Dane Kuta for an evening of Spanish sensations. We’ll prepare four original Spanish tapas (classic small dishes) and taste five regional Spanish wines. Our exciting evening will start with Cava, the Spanish version of champagne. Next, we’ll prepare an alluring plate of shaved Jamón Ibérico (Spanish ham) paired with authentic Manchego cheese while sipping a unique Spanish white wine named Viura. We’ll jump right into making a summertime Gazpacho (revered chilled Spanish soup) and traditional empanadas. With these classics, we’ll taste and learn about esteemed wines from the Rioja and Ribera del Duero regions. The evening will culminate with our creation of Spanish torrijas (think delicious Spanish French Toast) while sampling a Spanish dessert wine. You’ll depart with one word in mind: sensational!

Please refrain from wearing strong fragrances or colognes, as they will interfere with your learning experience. Must be 21 or older to register. Not recommended for anyone with gluten intolerance.
