Course Description

Manufacturing companies are thriving in San Diego County. That means thousands of products must be designed-built-inspected to quality compliance that meets or exceeds customer expectations. Whether it’s an implanted screw for the body or a satellite’s solar array, it’s critical that the part is made or assembled correctly. This 15-hour workshop provides students with a foundation of quality assurance concepts used in the manufacturing industry. Course topics include:

  • Inspection and testing topics
  • Material certificates and MIL standards/Traceability
  • Non-conforming Material
  • First Article Inspection reports
  • Auditing overview 
  • Defect Analysis
