Course Description

Join us on a journey to the Griffith Observatory, a Los Angeles landmark perched atop Mount Hollywood. Gaze upon breathtaking panoramic views, from the sparkling Pacific Ocean to the bustling Downtown skyline. The observatory and accompanying exhibits were opened to the public on May 14, 1935. Today, the Griffith Observatory is renowned as a national leader in public astronomy, and a beloved gathering place for visitors. The observatory offers many magnificent astronomy exhibits. It has a nice café and gift shop on the premises for you to grab a bite or purchase a souvenir. There is an optional planetarium show that you may purchase tickets to (subject to availability and time constraints). If you are relatively fit, you may also enjoy a short hike on some of the trails surrounding the observatory offering gorgeous views of the city.

After the observatory, we will stop at the beautiful San Antonio Winery for a free tour and optional no-host wine tasting and/or lunch. Here you’ll also find, The 1917 Wine Bar & Bistro, named after the founding year of our family’s wine company. Join us as we celebrate the beauty of Los Angeles and the pleasures of discovery on this remarkable excursion.
