Materials List / Textbook
  • Book Cover- to use as your sketchbook cover. You’ll cut out the pages. If you work fast or your book is small, bring 2 books.
  • Paper-whatever type of paper you want to have in your sketchbook, it can be a combination of different papers. ****If you have time before class, cut your paper to double the width of one of your book pages. i.e. if your page is 6”wide x 9”tall, cut your paper to 12” x 9” and fold it in half to fit into your book. Stack your papers into groups of 4, and bring as much paper as you can fit into your book without it bulging out. Bring less paper if you plan to add envelopes and fill them with stuff.
  • HB or H pencil and soft eraser
  • scissors
  • white glue (I’ve used Alieens Tacky Glue)
  • ruler
  • Decorative paper for end pages and making envelopes
  • One piece of cardstock if you want to make a library card check out pocket
  • Binder clips-4 or more medium size
  • Large plastic garbage page or something to cover your table with so your paper won’t get dirty.

    • Embroidery needle with large eye
    • Awl
    • craft or exacto-knife
