Course Description

The Solar Panel Installer program provides a more basic introduction to Solar and focuses on the practical aspects of sizing and installing solar PV systems. Graduates of this program will have the skills and knowledge to find employment installing residential and commercial solar panels.

The Solar Installer Technician program consists of 7 modules of interactive curriculum using state-of-the-art simulation software with virtual lab/shop
experiments, combined with videos, animations and real-world practical examples to reinforce the fundamental concepts of solar photovoltaic (PV)
technology.

Tuition and Fees

The total cost is $1120.00. There are two payment options.

We offer you a number of easy registration options to make it convenient and affordable for you to register in the Solar Panel Insaller Program.

Register now and get started in the program for $580

Our unique pay-as-you-go course registration allows for easy installment-type payments. With the pay-as-you-learn option you enrol in the program for $580, which pays for the Interactive Learning Package including lab simulation software and the course material for all 7 modules in the program. Also included in this fee are the tuition, final exam, and ancillary fees for Module 1 as well as the technical and tutorial support for the course material. After you complete the first module, you simply pay for additional modules as you work through them. The tuition fee for each module is $90, and you are under no obligation to purchase any additional modules. The 7 modules can be purchased individually or in groups and the total cost to complete the program (including learning materials) is $1,120.

Register into the complete program and you will have full access to all modules and learning resources in the program. Full registration includes all tuition fees and learning material fees for the program and represents the entire program cost. It also includes the laboratory simulation software program and access to all of the learning resources for the 7 modules as well web-based supplemental resources, free tutorial and technical support and online testing.

Solar Panel Installer Prerequisites

The academic prerequisites for students entering into the Solar Panel Installer Certificate programs is a high school diploma, with credits at or above the general level or equivalent mature student status.  A backgound in electronics is helpful.

If you are 19 years or older and do not have a high school diploma, you may enrol as a mature student.

Minimum System Requirements:

To participate in this program students must have a personal computer that meets the following minimum specifications:

4 GB RAM
500 MB of available disk space
Windows 7/ Windows 8/Windows 8.1/Windows 10/Windows 11
32 and 64 bit compatible
Internet Access
Email Account

Note: Our program software is strictly made for Windows Operating Systems and will therefore only run on Windows-based computers. It will NOT work on Apple computers running Mac Operating Systems such as Macbook, Chromebook computers running Chrome Operating Systems such as Google Pixelbook or any device running Linux Operating Systems.

The average completion time is approximately 14 weeks of part-time study. The flexible computer-based modules are designed to fit into your schedule, not ours, so you can work at your own pace to complete the program.
