Course Description

Whether businesses are trying to protect their building during riots or natural disasters, or a public official needs protection overseas, there is a need for qualified and trained security individuals. This unique program was designed by industry professionals who have drawn from their vast experiences in the field. The 220 hours of training provides the students with hands-on skills, real-world protection scenarios, and current theory and applications that will provide both the protection specialist and his/her protectee with the greatest opportunity for safety. Upon successful completion of this course, graduates will be prepared to conduct and/or join protective teams in various types of environments. Topics covered will include: Combatives-based physical training Firearms training Trip plan preparation Surveillance detection Site and route assessments Driving tactics drills Tactical emergency casualty care Searches, IEDs, electronic surveillance Handcuffing and suspect control Executive protection combatives Threat weapons Escape and evasion Four complete mock security details Upon successful completion of this course, graduates will be comfortable providing a secure environment by identifying, planning, preventing, and controlling potential safety problems and risks while the protectee is positioned on foot, in a vehicle, within a structure of any type, in all geographical locations, under normal and emergency conditions.
