Course Description

This introductory, 50-hour course teaches students the relationship between voltage current and resistance. Students will learn how to analyze series circuits, parallel circuits and series parallel circuits. Students will experiment with direct current, series-parallel circuits and transistors/semiconductors. Additional topics include:

• Study of Ohm’s law, Watt’s law

• Use of electronic components

• Basic soldering

• Oscilloscopes

• Digital volt meters

• Bread-boarding electronic circuits

• Basic computer troubleshooting

• Basic AC circuitry
