420207 - Child Visitation Monitor
Course Description

Make a difference in the lives of children and families as a professional child visitation monitor—a role that’s always in demand. Monitors earn $45–$60 per hour ensuring the safety and well-being of children during court-ordered visits. Upon completion, participants are qualified to apply with a visitation agency or work independently. You will learn California state policies and procedures as well as your role as a monitor. This comprehensive course meets the State of California’s 24-hour training requirement for professional child visitation monitors. However, completion of this course does not qualify students to be listed as service providers on the San Diego Superior Court’s Child Visitation Monitor resource list. Exclusion from the court-issued list does not prevent individuals from operating as professional child visitation monitors within San Diego County. Each Superior Court operates independently, and students are responsible for verifying with their local court any additional requirements or registration procedures.
