Course Description

Interested in expanding upon your newly acquired skills from our Welding I class by getting some hands-on experience? If so, this 60-hour class is a great opportunity to practice and expand upon existing skills. Topics will include class projects, covering:

  • SMAW, GMAW & FCAW welding processes
  • Plasma arc cutting
  • Blueprint Reading
  • Basic tool safety and “tools of the trade” suggested checklist for welders/fabricators.
  • Hands-on experience with the ironworker, cold saw and band saw.

Students will also learn math fabrication skills, job steps from start to finish, tacking, squaring and order of welding and basic critical thinking.

Notes

*Due to renovations, the welding programs will resume in late Spring & Summer 2023.
