8790072 - Cyber Security Analyst (CySA+) - Online Self-Paced
Course Description
The Cybersecurity Analyst program is designed for those wanting to obtain the CompTIA CySA+ certification. Covering a broad swath of cybersecurity skills and knowledge, having a CompTIA CySA+ certification helps you stand out in that it covers the newer approaches to cyber-attacks that have been wreaking havoc in the business IT world in recent years.
In our cybersecurity training online, you are taught three courses to prepare you to pass the CySA+ exam – Customer Service Professional, Microsoft Office Series I and CompTIA CySA+.
CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) is an international, vendor-neutral IT professional certification that applies behavioral analytics to improve the overall state of IT security. It validates the knowledge and skills required to configure and use threat detection tools, perform data analysis and interpret the results to identify vulnerabilities, threats and risks to an organization, with the end goal of securing and protecting applications and systems within an organization.
You are trained in the proper response to threats and attacks by applying environmental reconnaissance techniques like OS fingerprinting, email harvesting, and social media profiling using tools such as Nmap, Netstat, and syslog. You’ll also learn to analyze the results of network reconnaissance and recommend or implement countermeasures. Even the most protected companies are prey to threats, therefore it is important that the cybersecurity professional is trained to properly respond to cyber incidents with a forensics toolkit, maintain the chain of custody, and analyze incident safety.
While your main responsibility will be to handle a range of technical tasks, you must deal with coworkers, clients and customers. For this reason, we include the Fundamentals of Customer Service with standards set forth by the Professional Association for Customer Engagement (PACE). This training is designed to be transferable to any position, across virtually any industry and when you successfully complete this course, you’ll achieve a Customer Service Certified (CSC) credential.
Additionally, you’re provided with training that covers Microsoft Word and Excel. These courses provide students with strong word processing and spreadsheet skills that are valuable to business and IT professionals across all industries. Additionally, according to Burning Glass data, Microsoft Word and Excel are in the top 5 Baseline Skills required by employers for all IT candidates.
Once you’ve successfully completed these three courses you’ll be prepared to take and pass the CySA+ certification exam, sponsored by CompTIA. MedCerts will cover the cost of your exam.
