Course Description

Back by Popular Demand! All experience levels are welcome, Learn the art of dressmaking from an Italian dressmaker with over 40 years of experience. Use your
talents for the construction of garments that are easy to make and fun to wear. The instructor will teach you how to take measurements, use commercial patterns, choose  the right size, adjust the pattern, cut, mark, sew, press and finish the garments. Come and build skills that you can use for years to come and pass it to the next generation.

Notes

Supplies: Sewing machines are not required for this class nor are they available for use. Bring a sack lunch. A materials list will be included with your student confirmation upon registration.

  • a tape measure
  • one small box of dressmaker silk pins
  • hand sewing needles
  • thread any color
  • thimble
  • seam ripper
  • notebook
  • pencil

Your instructor, Angela Fesi-Pouliot, will discuss additional materials and tools at the first class.  Bring a sack lunch and prepare to have fun.
