Course Description

Are you about to graduate High School and feel like you haven’t learned ANYTHING about the real world? Do you know the Pythagorean theorem but nothing about how to file your taxes or how much oil to put into your new car? Most parents know how difficult it can be for young people to successfully transition from high school to college or career training. This class will will provide resources to equip teens and young adults during this crucial period and help boost their lives as independent people. This course offers the chance to learn: basic sewing technique, first aid, changing a tire/oil, basic cooking, and most importantly how to manage money and taxes. Becoming an independent person doesn’t have to be stressful or daunting.
